My Community Project - Results are in!

We would like to thank all the wonderful community members who voted for the Woolgoolga Seniors’ ‘New Bus’ project. Sadly, we were not a winner this time, but are still very pleased to have come in 7th place.

We will keep trying for our new bus!

Congratulations to the “Woolgoolga Lakeside Reserve Walking Trail and Revegetation” –third place winner.
A great win for Woolgoolga and a great effort from the organisers! It wasn’t an easy task.

We would also like to send our congratulations to the ‘Corindi Community Hall - Encouraging a Better Community’ – project – not a final winner but to come 5th was a great effort from such a small community. The organisers have done extremely well – Corindi Beach is very fortunate to have such a great team.

Please vote for our Project

The Centre has applied for another grant. This one is a bit different because the community votes for their preferred project.

The projects are all in the Coffs Harbour electorate region.

Voting opens Monday 15th July and closes 15th August. We are only a small town, so we need all the help we can get.

You can vote for up to 5 projects in order of preference.  One vote might just make the difference😊. If you know any else who might jump on board, please let them know.

This project depends on YOU!

***

Our Project Name is:  New bus - Woolgoolga Seniors Centre The Best Venue for Ages

Please vote for our project The Seniors' Centre is depending on you.

If you need help signing up for a My Service NSW account Please see us at the office and we can help.

From 15 July 2019, people across NSW will vote for the projects they want to see funded in their community.

Voting will be open for four weeks from 15 July to 15 August 2019. People in NSW aged 16 years or older will be able vote for the projects in their electorate.

You will be able to vote through Service NSW for the projects in your electorate. To do this, you will need:

1. A MyServiceNSW Account. To find out if you already have an account or to create one, go to: https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/ or visit a Service NSW centre:

2.  your Medicare card to verify your name and age

3. your NSW residential address to identify your electorate

You will then be able to view and vote for the projects in your electorate. Each person can vote only once, but couples can have individual accounts.

Looking for a Rewarding Social Activity?

This is the place to be...

The Woolgoolga 'Wrap with Love' knitting group meets every Thursday 9.00am – 12 noon and is always happy to welcome new members.

These lovely ladies knit their hearts out – and enjoy lots of fun and laughter in the process. They volunteer their time to knit and crochet blankets for the Charity group, 'Wrap with Love', who in turn distribute the wraps to people in areas of trauma and need - both in Australia and around the World.

Come along one morning, enjoy a cuppa and see what it's all about. There is a small fee for the morning, but your first day will be free. We are sure you’ll be back!

Your time and effort will be most welcome. All this 'hard work' benefits the charity group – Wrap with Love.
